Answers about finding your representatives, understanding voting records, and using Voterly.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find out who my representatives are?
Enter your address or choose your state and congressional district on the homepage to see your U.S. House representative and both U.S. Senators, with photos, contact information, voting records, and campaign donors.
What is Voterly?
Voterly is a free, nonpartisan website that helps you see your federal representatives, how they vote on bills, who funds their campaigns, and how closely their record aligns with your own views. It uses public data from Congress.gov and the Federal Election Commission.
Is Voterly free and nonpartisan?
Yes. Voterly is free to use and presents public records without endorsing any party or candidate, so you can make your own informed choices.
Where does Voterly get its data?
Representative profiles, bills, and voting records come from Congress.gov. Campaign finance data comes from the Federal Election Commission (OpenFEC). Voterly reads from its own database mirror so pages load quickly.
How does alignment work?
When you mark bills as Agree or Disagree, Voterly compares your positions to each representative's roll-call votes on the same bills and shows how often you align.
